WaiversSeason story

2024 · Commissioner's Championship

Hopkins brought receiving use to a specialist-heavy wire

DeAndre Hopkins gave quallsimodo1 seven lineup starts and 74.7 points from waivers, the largest individual contribution. Kicker Blake Grupe appeared even more often, with eleven starts for 69.7 points. Those different workloads explain the wire's two visible roles: a recurring receiver and a kicker used for most of the regular season.

Acquisition totals include only starts with a stable ownership spell across the historical game-date window. Unknown origins remain separate; these totals are not ranked against peers.

Supporting facts

  • 21 successful regular-window claims; free-agent adds and failed bids are excluded. Other-13 claim median: 14.
  • DeAndre Hopkins: 7 attributed starts / 74.7 points.
  • Blake Grupe: 11 attributed starts / 69.7 points.
  • Wil Lutz: 2 attributed starts / 35.9 points.
  • All attributed waiver starts: 28 / 238.7 points. Total roster scoring: 1,405.4.
  • Known zero-dollar successful bids: 7; missing bid amounts: 0. The season budget was 100; no remaining-budget claim is inferred.
  • Rationale: the two contributors are compared for actual held-spell use, not cross-position value. Hopkins' seven starts and Grupe's eleven are waiver-attributed regular-season appearances.

Acquisition totals include only starts with a stable ownership spell across the historical game-date window. Unknown origins remain separate; these totals are not ranked against peers. No incoming-minus-outgoing result or negotiating intent is inferred.

Supporting facts

  • 1137860337774161920, 2024-09-06T19:06:25.148Z: received Aaron Jones; sent Michael Pittman; 0 pick assets.
  • Aaron Jones: 13 conservatively attributed post-acquisition starts / 166 points.
  • Rationale: 13 conservatively attributed post-acquisition starts in a 14-week regular-season window establish a substantial ongoing role. Full outgoing-package results are not compared.
